Is it just me, or have you also wondered why church folk were poor?

I'm not bashing church folk, I am a church folk.

But here are the statistics:

  • A 2010 Gallup poll linked poverty and religious devotion worldwide.

  • According to a 2014 Pew Research Center study, 56 percent of Americans who attended a religious service at least once a week had an annual household income of less than $50,000.

  • In 2019, the median African American family in the US had $23,000 of wealth.

ABOUT THE BOOK?

The world discovered "The Secret" and began prospering. The law of attraction Is no secret to those in the church who have been reading and memorizing Biblical scriptures. Unfortunately, many in the church have not accepted that the law of attraction is indeed a principle of God. The law of attraction states simply that whatever you think about will be drawn to you, positive and negative. This is exactly what is taught in chapter twenty-three and verse seven in the book of Proverbs, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he."

Why are Church Folk Poor is an easy to read reference that forces the reader to examine his or her relationship with money. The author shares how she elevated her thoughts and exercised her faith to buy her home in Los Angeles. She also uses scripture and pop culture references to illustrate why many of the closely held beliefs about money are wrong. At the end of each chapter, the author provides exercises for self-analysis. Why are Church Folk Poor is a book for those who are ready to live the abundant life that Jesus promised.
